The first two days of employment are spent on an induction programme which includes familiarisation tours of the hotel, health and safety, appearance standards presentations and an introduction to the methods/techniques used to ensure that all our guests have a memorable experience.
Food and Beverage employees undergo a further four day training course with our dedicated Food and Beverage Trainer, in a specially equipped training facility.
Career progression is easy at the Harvey's Point - we can offer certificated training from Higher Wines Certificate, IT Training and First Aid Training, to more specialist areas - such as the use of powersaws and sales skills.
Product knowledge is essential for our staff and there are visits to suppliers for our Chefs, wine tasting for our Food and Beverage staff, champagne presentations and visits to other hotels in Ireland. When you are ready for promotion our management development portfolio will prepare you with workshops in Appraisal Skills, Time Management, Effective Meeting Management, Leadership Skills, Financial Awareness, Disciplinary Procedures, Recruitment Procedures and Absence Management.
