Front Desk – Receptionist / Reservations Agent
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating unique, memorable and personal experiences for our guests during the process of check-in, check-out, reservations, and will report directly to the Front Office Manager. He or she should have an intuitive responsiveness to the expressed and unexpressed wishes and needs of our guests.
Provide excellent service, build strong relationships, anticipate and exceed the guests’ expectations
Ensure an efficient reception experience for guests, including check in/out and complete audit procedures, as required
Take ownership of guests’ issues and take action to resolve immediately

Good command of English in both verbal and written communication
A natural ability to sell the Harvey’s Point Experience
Confident with a pleasant disposition and well groomed
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Working on rotating shifts, including weekends
Experience in revenue management systems desirable
Knowledge of Hotsoft PMS an advantage
Minimum two years in a similar, luxury 4/5 star hotel essential

To provide clean and well-maintained bedrooms and all other areas of the hotel as designated by the duty Housekeeper on your shift.
To ensure that all work is carried out in line with the Hotel’s standards and Harvey’s Point as laid down in the Standards Of Performance manual (SOPs).
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities
To clean bedrooms and designated areas to the SOP standards.
To report and hand in lost property to your duty Housekeeper
To ensure that any special requests are adhered to in the guest bedroom.
To ensure that guests are greeted with a smile and every assistance given to them during their stay.
To show respect for other team members at all times.
To ensure all accommodation trolleys are adequately stocked and cleaned before start and at end of shift.
To ensure weekly, monthly and annual cleaning is carried out as requested by duty Housekeeper.
To carry out duties and any other reasonable request as asked by the Duty Housekeeper or Duty Manager.
To ensure a high level of security at all times with regard to master keys and guests property.
To report any maintenance requirements or faults with any equipment needed to carry out your duties.
To report any suspicious behaviour to the Duty Housekeeper or Duty Manager.
To check all your areas for any items missing or broken such as bulbs and report same to duty Housekeeper.
To be on time for all shifts and to ensure that you clock in and out for every shift worked.
To be aware of all cleaning materials used in carrying out your tasks and to be full conversant with rules and regulations pertaining to their use.

Follows all applicable company regulations, standards and guidelines as per your particulars of employment and staff handbook.
Health & Safety
Ensures that any potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately
Fully understands the Hotel’s fire and emergency procedures
Ensures the safety of the people and property within the premises
Maintains the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct
Attends meetings and training required by the Accommodation Manager
Assists colleagues to perform similar or related jobs when necessary
Ensures guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and enquiries courteously and efficiently
Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Hotel guests
Maintains own working area and operates in a tidy manner
Continuously seeks to endeavour and improve the department’s efficient operation and knowledge of own job function
Is well updated and possesses solid knowledge of the following
Hotel standards or operation and departmental procedures
