GEORGINA CAMPBELL HOTEL OF THE YEAR 2017
22nd September 2016
The Gysling family and their team are to-day celebrating the award of the Georgina Campbell ‘Hotel of the Year 2017’ title to Harvey’s Point Hotel, Lough Eske, Co. Donegal.
At the announcement of the award, at a gala ceremony in the Bord Bia HQ in Dublin, Georgina Campbell spoke about the hotel’s ‘stunning location, luxurious accommodation and waterside fine dining restaurant’. ‘But’, she added, ‘the real USP (unique selling point) of the hotel is its people’.
Accepting the award, hoteliers Marc Gysling and Deirdre McGlone said that they were particularly delighted that the awards judges had highlighted the contribution of Harvey’s Point staff.
‘Offering our guests a truly genuine Donegal welcome and making sure that they enjoy their visit to Harvey’s Point is the anchor of our business and every team member plays an important role in making that happen every day’, said Deirdre.
Harvey’s Point hotel has now added the ‘Georgina Campbell Hotel of the Year’ title to the ’Trip Advisor No 1 Hotel in Ireland’ (which it has won on four consecutive years), ‘AA Hotel of the Year’, ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’, ‘Great Irish Carvery’ and numerous other awards achieved over its 27 year history.
‘We are constantly striving to enhance the experience of our guests’, says Deirdre. ‘We recently created ‘The Lodge @ Harvey’s Point’ as a new accommodation option and we are currently developing a new Conference and Banqueting suite which will be launched in the near future’.
