Wheaten Bread


350g wholemeal flour

100g strong white flour

300mls buttermilk

1 tsp bicarbonate soda

1tsp salt

1tsp sugar

100g porridge oats


·         Heat oven to 200 degrees

·         Sive fours into a bowl

·         Add all other dry ingredients

·         Add buttermilk and mix with your hands until a dough forms

·         Do not over mix

·         Form into a ball and and place into a greased baking tray

·         Cook for 30 minutes or until it sounds hollow when tapped

·         Cool on a wire rack
