Magnificent!

Well, what can we say except WOW!! We had the absolute pleasure of staying for one night here recently. What a magnificent location, plenty of free parking, gorgeous scenery, delightfully courteous staff, a warm welcome ….nothing is too much for the staff here. We were in a premium suite – another WOW!! We were escorted to our room and we were shown how to use everything, from the thermostat on the wall, to the Jacuzzi and other equipment. The accommodation was enormous – huge bathroom with double power shower, Jacuzzi, his ‘n hers wash hand basins, dressing table (with lights) and hairdryer, bidet, telephone; toiletries were all by Paul Costello.

Plenty of free parking

Then we came across the dressing room – two double wardrobes with safe for keeping valuables, ironing board and iron, trouser press, dressing gowns, slippers, dressing table with another hairdyer! What’s next ….. the small kitchen area with mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh fruit, cookies and water. The bedroom was beautifully appointed with a King size bed, 42” flat screen tv, work desk, relaxing chairs and a view across beautiful Lough Eske. We wanted for absolutely nothing. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel worked perfectly no matter where we were. Every staff member greeted us with a smile – such a pleasant place to be.

We dined in the hotel and this is the subject of a separate review. Sleep quality was just super and that shower next morning – another WOW! Breakfast was positively the best we have ever had. The choices far outstripped anything we have had anywhere, and there was even a chef on duty ready to cook pancakes, poached eggs, etc. to order. There was a hot and cold buffet and we couldn’t think of a nicer place to enjoy breakfast than looking out across the lake watching the ducks having their own breakfast.

We went for a walk after breakfast towards the Bluestack Way. We would have loved to have walked much more of it but time was against us. However, if we are ever lucky enough to go back to Harveys, it is one of the things we will do. This is a magnificent place and THE best hotel we have ever stayed in – they haven’t won the accolade of best hotel in Ireland five years in a row for nothing! Super, super super.
